Agree. I emailed them back to ask if it is more for prospective applicants or gets into detail that accepted folks would need/want to know. I already went to the open house in November - it was a great day, really hands-on and informative, but not sure I can/should take off work for the same agenda!

I had my interview for CCA over skype. It was a super easy, great conversation with the head of the department. I also asked for a Skype interview with CalArts, but haven't heard back about timing/logistics. Also waiting on UCLA and RISD. I don't have any fingernails left! Same here on the incomplete. My portfolio submission date is blank, too. Looks like we're all in the same boat so that makes me less concerned that it's an issue on our end (more like clerical error like olivem912 said!)

I emailed the department a few days ago about it and they let me know this: "Applicants will be notified by mail of their status by March 15th. If chosen as a finalist, you will be required to travel to Stanford for an interview." Does your application checklist say complete or incomplete?

Anyone apply to Stanford's Art Practice program? Hear from them yet? Eaaaagerly* waiting on Stanford, UCLA, MICA, RISD, and Tulane. Interviews with UPenn, CCA, and CalArts. * like refreshing this site too many times a day to really admit to myself

CalArts photo interview invitation - their grad interview day is March 12. Also offering Skype as an option but strongly encouraging an in-person interview.

Did anyone here apply to Stanford's MFA in Art Practice? Just looked at my application and it still says incomplete (but I submitted everything before the deadline!). Curious if anyone else is seeing that.

This was actually a technical bug on their part, which they owned and fixed. I really appreciated their quick response, too, given that they were probably inundated with panicky emails. I got a personal email from the admin informing me of the issue and that the system was back up. The original deadline was 1/7 (today), before midnight, and the system had a glitch. As a result of the outage last night, they extended the deadline by the amount of time the system was out (about 6 hours). That's the sensible and courteous way to respond to an issue like that. It would have been fine to just keep the deadline the same as it was before the technical issue, but it's also appreciated for folks whose schedules perhaps only allow them to work on their applications late night EST. And anyone trying to submit their application last night (ie most of the people who posted in this thread) was early since the deadline is tonight.

I thought the same thing. I actually asked about this at the open house because the language felt ambiguous, and I was told that it was before the end of the day today. I sent the general admissions email a note to clarify, but I'm going to call them tomorrow.
