Wow ! that's such a load off my mind to know about April 15th....thanks for that information! A definite breather in this situation. However, is it true that i'd have been informed by now if a university is admitting me? Is it too late in the process to be hopeful? Thanks again!

Well, April 15th is almost here upon me - and the proverbial Damocle's sword may fall and declare no admits ............i do agree that this is a wholesome process and the entire profile gets an evaluation. Its just that the choices seemed possible at that time - if not all, atleast a fair percentage of them. Havent lost hope still and just going thro the turmoil and thinking about plan B. Thanks for all your comments , these conversations were a definite consoation.

Thanks for the responses folks. Applying to MS. My SOP did seem good when I reviewed it and my recos are from 2 professors and one HOD. I'm beginning to feel may be i was a bit ambitious when i chose the schools ....fingers crossed about NCSU , Maryland and Purdue now........agonizing ..

Civil Engg - I applied to 8 universities and 4 rejected me ..........with a GRE score of 325, TOEFL 113 , GPA 3/4 is there any chance i will make it to fall 14 in Purdue / NCSU / Maryland or TAMU? freaking out
