Hello, I am applying to comparative literature programs, but I included a resume instead of a CV. I do have some work experience (I taught an ENGL 100 class, worked as a tutor at the Writing Center), and obviously I have memberships and a few awards (non-academic, though), so I thought it would be best to simply include everything in a resume. However, upon reflection, it seems to me that including a resume instead of a CV seems unprofessional, even though all schools wrote "include resume OR cv." or wrote "include resume/cv." I thought it would be pretentious to write a CV seeing as I don't have THAT much I could put on it, so I opted for a very organized resume that's one page, instead.
What do you guys think--big mistake, or not?
