  1. I had to take out some loans as an undergrad. I graduated in May, and I've begun making my monthly payments, but I was recently accepted to grad school and will begin in September. How soon can I go about deferring my undergrad loans? Can I do it as soon as possible, since I will officially be re-entering school in the Fall? Or do I have to wait until September (when I am physically attending school) to defer them? It would be very helpful to not have to make payments over the next few months on my undergrad loans, so I can save up a bit more for grad school, but I haven't been able to get a clear answer of exactly how soon I can defer my loans. Any help would be appreciated!
  2. Did your friend elaborate at all about what she didn't like about the program? I'm very curious about IHEID, but have found it difficult to learn much about the school, so any 3rd hand information would be appreciated! From what I have heard, IHEID is one of the top international International Relations schools, and you can't beat the location if you want to get involved with the UN/IOs.
  3. I recently landed an internship with a well-known organization, where I'll be doing research that is very relevant to what I'm intending to study in grad school. However, by the time I start work, I will have already submitted my SOP. How do I go about including this internship in my SOP? I have a general understanding of what I'll be doing, but no specifics, like what projects I'll be working on. I really would like to include it somehow, as I think it would substantially strengthen my application, but I can't come up with a way to make it sound as important as it is. All I can come up with is a vague sentence about what I'll hope to be doing, instead of tangible things.
