Receive my letter today (West Coast). I received a SSHRC doctoral scholarship with a score of 19.8/20. This was my third time applying. The moral of the story is: don't give up!

Congratulations! Just wondering how you recieved a CGS if this is your fourth time applying? Are you in your fourth year in a PhD? I thought CGS was only available to those who had completed less than 2 years of PhD study?

After my third application I finally got it! I received an email from my department letting me know that my application for a SSHRC award was successful. Judging from what others have posted, it sounds like award recipients may be notified by email from their respective institutions. I concur with others that it may be worthwhile to send an email to your departmental administrator. I wish all of you still waiting the best of luck!!!!

I concur. It is strange that nobody in the Ottawa region has received their letters. I'm new to this thread and I hate to make accusations, but has this forum had issues with trolls before?

First year PhD student and I just found out from my department that I was not successful - not wait-listed either. Hope to have better luck next year.

I'm not quite sure why this information wasn't provided earlier????
