  1. Definitely great question for admitted students day coming up. I'm also waiting on my disability rating.
  2. I'm starting the MIA in the Fall. Just separated from active duty in Feb after 6.5 years, and I've already visited the VA rep and Financial Aid Office. Make sure you touch base with the VA on campus and get them your certificate of eligibility; I think there is a weird requirement where you need to qualify for the GI Bill before getting to the YRP. As far as details on YRP, the Financial Aid Office informed me that they won't have any until April. The YRP budget decisions won't be made till then, and once it's made, they will inform students and prospects via email. Hope this helped. Good luck!
  3. I just submitted my application for Fall 2015 Early Action. Would you mind elaborating on your conversation with the adcom guys on advantages and disadvantages? I didn't even think about asking; I just knew that it was my first choice so I figured, why not save $$$ and time in Jan if the stars align? (crosses fingers )
  4. @yeifeiyu2 I asked the same question to the admissions office. They said the cover letter technique is AN approach but I didn't inquire about the "context" of the essay of whether it should be pre- or post-SIPA. They also said that it should logically tie-in with your SOP and resume (I think they are hinting at addressing the employer/position you talk about in your SOP). If the intent of the application is to learn every aspect of the candidate, I assume we should talk about or maybe expand on areas not adequately addressed in the rest of the application (SOP, Resume, Quant/Lang Resume, etc.). When they reply to you, please share!
  5. Did you have the essay question asking you to describe yourself to an employer? If so, did it look something similar to a cover letter for a resume? Thanks ahead of time.
  6. Looking for other applicants in my shoes working towards the Nov 1st deadline for the Fall 2015 class. I've already noticed a discrepancy with the SOP prompt found in their Fall 2015 Application Checklist (400 word limit) and the Application Management System (500 word limit). Also wondering about your thoughts on essay question #2 "Describe yourself to a future employer." Seems like a cover letter that would usually precede a professional resume?
