I'm so nervous! I was wondering, is it like the last round where acceptances are by email and rejections are by snail mail? Really hoping we will hear back this week.

I applied for India and Hindi. My budget was pretty detailed. I put a lot of work into it, and even if I don't get the Boren, it was a good exercise to get an idea of what my costs will be. It's encouraging to hear from other ASU students. Unfortunately I didn't work with Dr. Burke because you don't have to go through the university as a fellowship applicant, and also I was pretty late in getting my application together, but I did work with my other professors at ASU.

Me too. I have been so nervous about this because my budget is still uncertain. I am planning to go to India and I have a few contacts, but haven't heard back from anyone at the institution I want to work at yet.

If we don't get a budget update request, does that mean we're not being considered anymore? This seems to be the case, but I bet there are a few rumours of people who got it without getting a request. Just mentally preparing myself for rejection, although at this point hearing anything will be a relief
