Advice on gettting into pure math grad schools

I've got a 910/99% GRE and was rejected by a lot of schools, including several ranked 30-50. One of my classmates with a 800+ sub received no financial aid this year. Although I was accepted by one top 25 program I have no idea why I was accepted as well as why I was rejected or waitlisted by others. <br /><br /><br /> -
