Hi, my name is Sarah and I will be enrolling in UPenn's electrical engineering Ph.D program this fall. I will probably live in either West Philly or Center City.

A lot of grads and undergrads live in the "Crowne" properties-Crowne Polo, Crowne Park, and there might be another one. Wake has several shuttles that go to these locations - look up "wake forest shuttle" and you can find them listed. The Wake Properties are generally a lot cheaper, though.

I'm at wake forest in another MA program. May I ask who your adviser will be?

Hi LateAntique, I guess it's a little late to add my input, but I have a very intelligent and sweet friend who is getting his Ph.D in Classics at U of Iowa and is completely in love with the program - he chose it over Cornell, if that means anything.
