  1. Thanks for your advice. I think I will do that for sure, and also include some update on my lab research progress, as it might help with my apps. I think I'll do that after thanksgiving break as I'll be wrapping up my semester's work. Also, one of my recommender hasn't sent out the LOR yet, so i suppose they won't look through my application until he sends it in.
  2. Hmm. I'm scared because the admission office people will then know that i made the silly mistake -- putting important professor's name wrong and submitting without carefully checking....
  3. I never received my GRE scores report. I just printed my online report.
  4. Thanks omg I went back to all the submitted apps and was able to update 4 out of 13 of them. Thank you so much!!!
  5. Exactly what's happening on my mind now. And i keep thinking "what if my lab makes some big progress next month" And also I just realized I made a big typo on a prof's name in all my SOPs which makes me regrets sending them in so early.
  6. Ok. I think I just need to suppose my prof chose not to notify me, the applicant, when he submitted those letters... But yah knowing TAMU doesn't send out emails makes it feel a little better now. haha.
  7. Thanks. All of the 6 schools applications magically shows that this one professor has submitted the LOR, which was really weird since I didn't get any emails and thats what makes me worried.
  8. ahh ok. I googled and found in a rec letter submission sample, the recommender gets to choose whether to notify the applicant about the submission. I hope my professor just chose not to notify me through email....
  9. Thank you. Okay. I think I will be able to know if this is pure coincidence (that all of them, UCLA columbia, stony brook, UF, UTAustin, TAMU, WUSTL) don't send out confirmation), or if it is my professor managed to dodge the system.... I really shouldn't have such thought since he's a very respected and nice person to my knowledge. If anyone has applied to any of these schools and had received the emails before, please let me know. Thanks!
  10. This doesn't happen very often, I guess. Last night I sent out recommendation requests through 6 schools, and this morning I found out that one of my recommenders has submitted all of them. However, I received no emails from the schools notifying me that the LORs were received. This professor had submitted LORs for me before for another 6 schools and I received emails confirming it. The other two recommenders have not submitted anything yet, so i wouldn't know if its possible that these 6 new schools just coincidently don't send email confirmations for LORs. Also some of them share the same applyyourself.com system, so at least these schools should send me confirmation if there's a submission. So my worry is that is it possible that he just quietly turned down the recommendation links or submitted blank letters? Please help! I might also just being super paranoid.
