Hi everyone, I heard that the Taiwan results were out, so I thought I'd check back here. I am currently an ETA and remember checking this forum religiously during the application process last year. I was named an Alternate at the end of last April and was frantically applying for jobs while I worked a full-time summer position set to end at the beginning of August. July 2nd, after I had basically spent three months believing the Fulbright was never going to happen, I received an email saying I was bumped up to Principal. I was given until the end of business hours THAT DAY to decide and then about three weeks to get all the medical forms, visa, and other paperwork done, move out of my apartment, unpack and repack all my things, and fly off to Taiwan. I was placed in Kinmen, which was definitely not my first choice, but I've come to love it here! If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out. My email is karenlue13@gmail.com. Hi everyone, I haven't posted on here in quite awhile, but I got news this morning that due to increased funding, I will be offered an ETA in Taiwan! Is there already a Facebook group for this year's ETAs?

Has anyone heard about someone getting bumped up for Taiwan ETA? I know it's super late at this point, but I still have a tiny sliver of hope, maybe...

I just turned in my thesis, I have one joke final tomorrow, and I graduate this Sunday. However, the only thing preventing me from being truly excited is the fact that we still haven't heard about Taiwan ETA's.... aslkdjgal;skjdg;lakjdsgl;

I'm right there with you! I have a feeling it'll be this week. What worries me is that I feel like the reason it hasn't come out yet is because there were a lot more Taiwan ETA applicants than previous years aka more competition... at any rate, I just NEED to know at this point so I can move on with my life, haha. If I don't get it, I'll be pretty devastated, but then at least I can make more concrete post-grad plans. This waiting game/limbo stage is the worst.

Man, that's disappointing... I kept holding out hope we'd hear last night or sometime today. Honestly, with each passing day I keep getting more and more pessimistic

I feel you... every day I wake up thinking, "Maybe today's the day!!!!!!!" and then go to bed disappointed. sighhhhh My friends are probably all tired of me freaking out about it at this point haha

The more countries that get notified, the harder it is to keep waiting ... since it seems like notifications have been coming out earlier, I'm guessing Taiwan's might come out the first week of April? Crossing my fingers!

Same here, I really need to crank out my thesis in this last month before I graduate, but the only thing on my mind is that email!!!! C'mon Taiwan... maybe next week??

I've totally been worrying about the same thing! I just keep telling myself that they received it and that I'm just being paranoid, haha.

Hi everyone! Just stumbled upon this forum. I'm a rising senior, currently in the process of applying for an ETA in Taiwan. I'm taking my language evaluation this week and am kind of nervous, but I'm pretty sure for Taiwan, it's the sort of thing that can only help you and not hurt you. Anyone else take their language evaluations yet?
