  1. Hey! what program at Durham?
  2. I agree DanJackson, But has anyone requested an interview or skype type meeting? I want to visit the departments, knowing that it will help me, but I'm nowhere close to the schools. I guess the whole having/not having an interview can give you an idea of where you fall in the applicant pool right?
  3. I know a student dropped out of the Ph.D at UMass under Perez recently too! I'm from mass and my friend that was anthro there informed me of that
  4. Awesome! Thank you so much!
  5. Verano is the professor that I want as an advisor. Do you have any advice for applying to Tulane or what I should do to stand out? Tulane is my top school and will be applying for next fall.
  6. Thanks! You too, Tulane is by far my top choice because of the diverse faculty and specialisation in Meso/South American studies. For roman/medieval, I would suggest that you look more in the UK and BU.
  7. Hello Everyone! I will be finishing up my degree next spring and will be applying to schools for next fall. Right now, I'm a Anthropology major, bioanth track with special focus on Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology, and minors in Biology, Public Health, Environmental Studies, and Archaeology. I am the assistant to the City Archaeologist of Boston when I am in Massachusetts as well as a research assistant intern at University of Tennessee - Knoxville, Forensic Anthropology Center. I also have been on projects in the Majes Valley, Peru for Bioarchaeology and Palaeopathology. I'm planning on applying to about 6 schools, may less, but around there. They are: Tulane, Vanderbilt (Maybe),NYU (Maybe), Sheffield, Bradford, and Durham. My main focus is Bioarcheaology of South America and Forensic Anthropology. I'll be taking the GRE's in the fall though and have been preparing myself for the exam.
  8. Hey! I'm from Boston and I can hook you up with the City Archaeologist to work in the Archaeology Labs, I did that for a summer and he's great!
