I can't necessarily speak about the school, but Arlington is pretty nice. It is situated right between Dallas and Fort Worth and both are good cities with tons of things to do on all spectrums. I have family who are raising kids in the area with no real complaints. There are also lots of other suburbs in the area if you don't want to live right in Arlington.
