    Oxford, UK

Hey all-- the prior posts have been very helpful. Any ideas on good websites to try and find housing. I'm from the states and will be moving to Oxford in late Aug/Early-Sept and have used Criagslist before to find apartments here stateside. But it looks like Craigslist is dead in the UK.. any suggestions?
  3. Hi-- has anyone who interviewed for Caltech Biology heard back from them yet? I know both of their interview weekends are over. I think they might be meeting this week though.
  4. Does anyone know (or have an opinion) on which programs are the strongest in terms of graduates pivoting into industry? (biotech, pharmaceuticals, consulting, venture capital, etc) I'm thinking that maybe the best would be the ones w/ broader educational offerings (ie, business, government, etc). But I really like Caltech, I'm just not sure what type of industry recruiting and such happens on campus. Or which campuses position/advise their students best. I'm not necessarily going into industry, just wanted to keep my options open. Sorry, this is kinda a rambling post.. but any thoughts?
  5. yep.. got the email ain't heard from Rockefeller though..
  6. Oh, and my stats: GPA: 3.83 (3.95 in math/science) GRE: 800Q, 740V, 5.5writing 2 pprs (2nd author), buncha abstracts applying into mainly Cell Bio programs, and I'm a bit non-traditional applying to Harvard (BBS), UCB, MIT, Princeton (molbio), Columbia, Rockefeller, Dartmouth, UMich, GPP Ox-Cam, Scripps/Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, Chicago, Penn (I know, I may have over done it) interviews: Penn, UCB, Dartmouth, Yale, Mich, Caltech, Chicago not sure if my non-traditional background will hurt me, esp since I see some ppl have already heard from Princeton and Scripps (two programs I really really like)--> but they ain't be callin' me yet also a little worried about interviews
  7. hey-- has anyone heard from MIT's biology track (not BCS) about interview requests?
