  1. If you are applying for just an MS, you are probably totally fine with those numbers. I did my MS at Penn engineering with the equivalent of V158 (580) and Q166 (800) and AW 4.5. for engineering as long as your essay writing is good enough they will look past the 3 on writing. Can anyone with a Ph.D. weigh in here on my numbers too? I am about to reapply to school, i haven't taken the GRE's in 4 years, and I still have a year of eligibility on the scores listed above. A professor that I am collaborating with in my job wants me to apply to his lab at MIT. should I retake the exam? is this good enough for a CS PhD at MIT?
