Keep hope! I just heard from NYU Steinhardt today. I applied on time (November 4th), was wait listed on March 6th, and followed up twice by email to say I would like to stay on the list and would wait patiently. I never called nor asked when I could expect to hear by. Then this morning I received a financial aid package which made me check my application status. There was no posted deadline to accept by, but it was the only school to take me this round, so I paid the deposit today. June! You never know!
