Hey guys, I've looked around a good bit but haven't been able to find much solid advice on how to write a personal statement for an MFT program. How should it differ from the typical formula for PhD SOIs? Just a small focus on research with more focus on professional experience/goals? Should it be more "personal" and less clinical-sounding? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm just about to start applying to Master's programs for next fall. While I know some have good reputations, it's been hard for me to find much info on others, especially for the specific programs. If anyone knows something about any of them, I'd greatly appreciate your insight! Here's the list: MFT programs Northwestern University (also has Counseling) University of San Diego San Diego State University Chapman University Thomas Jefferson University Iona College Northeastern Illinois University -- Family Counseling Chicago State University -- MHC
