I'm participating in the MacCracken Housing Program, too! Not sure when the roommate assignments are decided...I think they used to do it with some online forum they have, but apparently it wasn't up this season (hence having to send in all of that awful paperwork, if you were in the same boat as me...). Looking forward to getting it all figured out, though!

    NYU

Just accepted an offer to study in their CNS program! Can't wait!
  4. Update-- I called the Anatomy and Neurobiology department to check on the status of my application. They said it was still under review and that they'd let me know the decision within the next 1-4 weeks. Um....kiiind of can't wait that long since I have to let my other schools know by April 15th! Eek. I sure hope that they make up their minds soon since BU was probably my top choice :/ .
  5. I was just recently recommended for admission to the Center for Neural Science at NYU for a PhD. I'm really excited-- awesome faculty, looks like it's really well funded, great location. Haven't heard details yet, but they're soon to come. The problem is that I wasn't able to make it to the Open House that they held back in February due to that crazy blizzard that was tearing up the northeast at the time. I had a Skype interview, though, and I enjoyed talking to the faculty members. So my questions are for those of you who WERE able to go to the open house...or those of you who have some general ideas about the NYU CNS program. What are your thoughts? Is it a very cut-throat kind of place, or more of a friendly atmosphere? Did the grad students seem happy? What kind of students come out of the program? My other options so far are Emory (Neuroscience and Animal Behavior) or a post-bacc. Thoughts?
  6. Still haven't heard a thing from WashU's Psych department...I applied for the PhD program in Cognitive Neuroscience. Has anyone else heard anything? Any idea if there will be interviews or not? Too late for that?
  7. Hey all! I applied to Boston University's School of Medicine Division of Graduate Medical Sciences (BUSM GMS?) program in Anatomy and Neurobiology, and I haven't heard anything yet. I saw on the BUSM GMS website that there is some "PhD Applicant Day" on Feb 26th...can I take that to mean that I wasn't invited to the open house/interview? Has anyone else heard from this school/program?
