  1. My understanding is that publications are great, but you won't look bad if you don't have any especially when you are fresh out of college. What matters is that your research experiences has publication potential and that you didn't just mindlessly do PCRs for others at your lab. So if you are confident about your research experiences and your LORs, go for it.
  2. I received an interview offer from Columbia department of Pathobiology exactly a week before the interview date. This short notice makes me nervous about the fact that I might not have enough time to prepare. I was wondering what generally happens during these weekend interviews? what is the itinerary like and what can I expect. Is there any preparations that would be useful. Thanks in advance
