I am starting a Microbiology PhD there this fall. I started looking a couple weeks ago and already found an apartment (2br, 2bath townhouse $700/mo, 1.5 miles to campus). I also toured a bunch of apartments of current grad students as part of my interview weekend. If you want, I can send you the list of properties we looked at with contact info for management companies. However, I would try to lock in something soon, because I was finding that I would email about an apartment in the morning, and by the afternoon it was leased.
That would be awesome! Will you message me on here with that info? My program doesn't conduct interviews and I have never been to Athens. I am feeling a little nervous about all of this.

I was just accepted to UGA's Education Policy PhD. Any opinions on living on/off campus in graduate family housing?

@whittylin, it is nice they actually asked you to apply and interview for the MEP and you got accepted. I just got the rejection email for PhD today, not sure what kind of students they usually ask to apply to Masters......anyway, congrats!
So sorry! I think they asked me to apply for the Master's of Ed Policy because if would still allow me to pursue some of the same career goals as I would with the phd? Not sure. They seem to be rejecting a ton of Ed PhD and EDD this year.

After being rejected from the PhD program, they asked me to apply and interview for the MEP. I did, and was just accepted today. It looks like an amazing program with amazing opportunities. I have some thinking to do.

Thanks everyone! Good luck to all of you!

Sorry to hear that. Any other options lined up?
I am still waiting to hear on a couple of other schools. Thanks for asking!

I didn't get invited to interview...

Yep, that was my result post. Good luck to everyone!

I got a rejection email today. Bummer. Well, I have hope for two other schools....

I am too nervous to call and ask.

Thanks everyone! I too haven't contacted any professors, because a few of the programs specifically say not to until after admission. I was just curious if I should do so with the other programs. I think I'll wait it out once I hear about admission. Thanks everyone!

Would you connect with your POI on LinkedIn or is that too much stalking?

Someone posted on the results page that the Admissions office noted that not all invites for the EDLD have been sent out yet. Here's to a little bit of hope that the rest of us get an invite this week. Harvard's classes and offices are closed today due to the storm. I can't take this anxiety anymore!

Sweet! Congrats!

allinduetime- how did Pitt notify you? I applied to their Learning Sciences and Policy program and am so anxious to hear back!

la_manda_panda, I haven't received anything either. I think it is because we applied to the EDLD. Since it is fully funded, I don't think there is as much of a deadline for the financial aid information?

Thanks everyone! I'm hoping for good news in the next few weeks. I just wish all of the schools decided at the same time. It looks like a few of my programs might not let me know until the beginning of March.
Anyone applying to the University of Washington PhD in Ed Policy?

fullbrighter2015, I just accepted the offer for the MEP at UW! I went to the visiting students' day a few weeks ago, and loved it! Are you going to attend?
