There is lots of room for improvement in this area. It's not your fault. You did what most anyone else would also do. Our daughter's applications were very Florida Public University centered. You'd think they'd all be on the same page with deadlines. Not at all. Our bottom choice school hasn't even sent a decision yet. Same situation though. Got accepted to a middle choice school early. Accepted the offer near the deadline. Just got accepted to a top choice school off the waitlist (another Florida public University). We're waiting to accept that one though, in the hope we hear some good news from the other top choice school which is much closer to home. Even waiting until the deadline, there is still a chance she'll see something from this last school afterwards.
Just e-mail them that the new date is a conflict. They will then tell you they are keeping it the original date as well. Our daughter's ring ceremony fell on the new date and there was just no way we could do both.
My daughter was accepted to the USF SLP Masters program over 2 weeks ago. She still doesn't show as accepted in their STARS system and thus can't apply for scholarships or financial aid. The deadline to apply for aid is in 3 days. We have called and called and are getting the runaround. Has anyone else experienced this and found a resolution?
Thanks for any input!
My daughter was wait listed for FSU today. She is disappointed as she is graduating there this spring. Rumor is wait list is pretty much as good as a rejection at FSU. I'm just happy she has already been accepted to another Florida school, not to mention it is a few hours closer to home.
My daughter got her acceptance e-mail from USF today. Hoping to see some others soon (UCF, UF, FSU), but it is a huge relief knowing she has been accepted somewhere. Good luck to those of you still waiting!
