i highly recommend looking at PREP programs (post-bacc) at various schools and at the NIH. almost everyone i know who has participated in these programs has been highly successful

after getting rejected everywhere last year, i applied again this year and got accepted into my dream school. So i just wanna say don't lose hope if u didn't get in this year. figure out the weaknesses in your application and work on them and try again

does anyone know if harvard dms programs communicate with each other? like if u got an interview to one program at harvard does that mean bbs might not send u an interview since u got an interview to the other program? #harvardstress

i have heard from people on some admissions committee that it might even be better if you go on the last weekend cuz they tend to remember you more when it comes time to deciding who gets in

does anyone know any information on u penn biomedical sciences? have interview invites gone out? anyone have an idea when their interview weekend is? .... any information on michigan PIBS (micro and immunology)?

If this helps anyone's harvard stress at all ... i called BBS and asked when the interview weekends are and they said weekend of Jan 29 and Feb 12 ... so hope that helps with scheduling ...

for anyone who got a harvard virology interview can u let us know when u get the official email? Its been almost a week since i got the phone call but still no email

I'm hoping they will send out invites tomorrow ... highly doubt they will be notifying on a saturday ... but if not tomorrow, then next week for sure

how do you politely decline an interview? can you share how u word ur emails?

does anyone know if you are interviewing for 2 programs at the same school ... do you just go visit the school twice or do you they perhaps let you interview with both programs in one weekend?

should be pretty soon ... i heard apps are in final stages of review this week so invites should be coming out soon ... they are also pretty good at sending out rejections along with interviews so you don't have to sit around wondering ...

i got an interview from harvard virology (which is part of DMS) on Dec 11

hey a question for you all - i got an interview on friday by phone and i accepted .. they said they would follow up with an email but they never did ... has this happened to any of you? how long should I wait? should i email them?

i got waitlisted for a couple of schools ... what do u think is the likleihood i will get an offer? why do programs have a waitlist anyway when i was told that they usually send acceptances to more people than they want to account for the fact that many will choose another school?

Would it look bad if I called a school I interviewed with and asked if they already sent acceptances? It's been a week since I interviewed, how long should I wait? I'm going crazy watching my phone and email for an offer....

Does anyone know anything regarding acceptances for Duke Molecular Cancer Biology/Pharmacology? The last interview weekend was this past Sunday - Tuesday.
