I applied to their PhD program and was offered a phone interview last month. I must say, the director was quite busy and we just could not connect after much planning... It ended up becoming a hassle since I had already accepted UIC's offer. I ended up canceling the interview and therefore received an email referring me to the server where there was a standard denial letter. So, if you are waiting to hear from the PhD program, there is still hope as they are still in the process! Good luck

Hi! I was accepted to Uic for the PhD program in social work. Unofficial email January 17th, official letter took forever! I think I finally received it feb 20th or so... And just last week I heard about assistantships- I was nominated as a research assistant with tuition waiver and stipend. Not sure if you are asking about the PhD or MSW program or if this is helpful at all. Good luck!

Hey everyone!

I had an interview with UPenn on 01/30 and patiently waiting for a response. The interviewer said that I would hear within two weeks, and I was just wondering generally how long it took any of y'all to hear back from them. The interviewer said he was recommending me for admission, however other faculty needed to review my application. Just ready to know their decision!

Also had anyone applied to Loyola Chicago for Fall 2015?

Anyone here going to UIC this Fall??? I just got accepted to the PhD program and am pretty certain I will be accepting the offer.

So I have been following this threat for some time now. I have never commented before, but want to let people know that I received an unofficial acceptance email this morning to the Phd in Social Work at University of Illinois at Chicago (YAY!!). I literally stalked this forum for weeks and found every update helpful and encouraging so I am hoping this post does that for some of you still waiting to hear back.

 

FYI- I only applied to UIC and Loyola and this is my first acceptance. Best of luck!
