Hi all, I'm also in the process of weighing up the pros and cons of an MFA in Fine Art (Painting), but I have some questions: 1 - Is there anywhere you can view examples of other successful artist's statements/of intent? (Giving you some way of measuring your stab in the dark?) 2 - If I am not from a Fine Art background (I have a degree in Design and 5 years as a pro designer in London), will this not count hugely against me? 3 - Do they generally look for work that is pushing the boundaries of your discipline in the current climate of professional art, or is it work more that work should be strongly investigative in its own right (making research the bigger factor) ??
