Other than a few threads where people discuss subjective rankings, there doesn't seem to be much discussion on this forum on comparing the top biostatistics PhD programs. There is only so much you can get through exploring websites and having a day or two to visit, so I thought it would be nice to have a post where current/former students and professors could share their experience and thoughts on the top biostatistics PhD programs. Things to discuss would be if schools are strong in a certain area, quality of life for students, grad placement, department culture, etc...
From amstat, the current top 10 schools are:
1. Harvard University
2. University of Washington
3. Johns Hopkins
4. UNC
5. University of Michigan
6. UC-Berkeley
7. University of Minnesota
8. University of Wisconsin
9. UCLA
10. Columbia
However, there are plenty of other great schools that are not in that list, so I definitely don't want discussion to be limited to those school (especially with what I said before about rankings...). Hopefully this can be a great resource for current/future applicants
