  1. I agree. I would apply for graduate school and keep the SLPA as an option. In NYC slpas don't even exist. Once you're in grad school, you'll be officially on the road to becoming a licensed speech language pathologist . Always nice to keep your options open though.
  2. That's what i thought! i appreciate the feedback. Thanks guys !
  3. Hi everyone! I just wanted to get some feed back on this particular subject. I've heard that obtaining both degrees from one university can be looked down upon by hiring managers because it doesn't show any diversity on your resume. I never gave it much thought until after speaking with a friend recently. I obtained my BA from Lehman College in SLP and am currently in their masters program for SLP. What do you guys think? When it come to speech pathology is it looked as something negative? I appreciate all feedback!
  4. Hi Everyone ! I'm also trying to go for bilingual extension programs in Speech Pathology. My parent's native language is Spanish so i am pretty fluent in it with no problem. I also self taught myself some Japanese but i'm not as fluent as i wished i would be . I'll have to keep studying. I submitted my applications early January to Queens college, Suny Plattsburgh, Teachers College-C.U, and Lehman College. Best of luck to everyone!
