  1. Similar to your experience, they just confirmed they received it and I didn't hear anything for 3 months then next thing you know there's an acceptance letter through snail mail.
  2. Yea, I got that too. I turned mine in already but have yet to hear back. Only did it this week so I don't expect to hear back. Yes! I thought that was cool too because I want more experience in different areas so this will be a good way to get it. Ha, I'm in the FSW concentration but asked for school related social work for a first year placement.
  3. Thanks! I had an extension on accepting the offer so as soon as I know they got everything and we're good to go, I'll definitely add the page:)
  4. I would call. I hadn't even received notice that they received my application and I called and asked when they would notify me of ANYTHING they returned my call and gave me a deadline and they stuck to it and I got their decision. it wouldn't hurt trying. Hopefully it's not like CSULB where they have you wait until July.
  5. Yup! Going with CSULA
  6. Let CSUDH know I won't be enrolling in their program so that should free up a spot for someone.
  7. Thanks! I've looked at previous threads from past years and csula looked a bit selective so I was always curious what they'd be looking for.
  8. Congrats to those who got in to CSULA! Would any of you mind sharing any stats?
  9. Congrats! That makes the two of us. Do you plan on accepting?
  10. Just got accepted into CSULAs FSW program. So stoked!
  11. Thanks! I can definitely see why they'd want you abroad. I like how your music degree has even helped you with your social service experiences. That's what I like about the field. Different backgrounds can contribute. Again, thanks and congrats!
  12. Congrats! What concentration did you apply to? Mind sharing when you applied and some stats? I applied too (fsw concentration) and was just told I'd hear back by the end of March.
  13. Eek. Well I turned in my LA app in December so maybe it's not looking to good unfortunately but I'll wait til the end of March before I get upset haha. I don't know how many spaces they have available at csudh but I applied early October and was accepted just last week so it seems they take a while. Considering csula is a bit more selective, I imagine you'll receive your acceptance for csudh soon too
  14. Hey there! Not who you asked but also went to csulb for my undergrad. I can't speak on the apartment situation but I can expand a bit on the area. It's in a residential area so it doesn't have the party school vibe if that's what you're looking for. You're only a few minutes away from the beach which is great and there's plenty of things to do at the pier. Downtown is nice too with it's share of bars, clubs, and restaurants so you're not top far from night life. The campus itself is huge. About 30k students I believe. It's well maintained and students and professors are friendly. Overall it's a good casual environment. I enjoyed it so much I hope to be back for an MSW. It really is a great school
  15. Thanks so much. I'm in the same boat actually (minus the csula acceptance). I went to csulb for my undergrad and would love to go back for my masters but the forensics concentration is more aligned with my interests. I'm also pending with CSULB though and have been accepted by CSUDH. When did you turn in your app for csula?
