I heard from a professor who recently did his PHD at UMich that they sometimes do two rounds of admissions -- I don't know if this is still true anymore, but just throwing that gossip out there. (I haven't heard anything myself and it's possible he was lying to me to make me feel better.)
Probably you got the same email from the DGS that I just did, but in case they're sending it out piecemeal, it looks like their admit stuff is going to be the 18th-19th (W-Th) of March....
The Lit PhD -- assuming I don't get a follow-up email in a little bit being like "oops, we sent this out to everyone, you are totally not accepted."
Although the result search is back up (finally!!) and it looks like other people got notified in the same way, and that this is how Brown does it...so I'll settle down with my impostor syndrome for now.
Okay, y'all, the front page / results site is still down -- I just got a really really generic automated email from Brown, and I wasn't even going to check it because who sends out anything but a rejection that way, but....
I logged in to ApplyWeb and my decision letter says accepted???
I genuinely cannot believe this isn't a mistake.
Delurking after oh gosh it's been years and multiple admissions seasons of reading this forum: hi all! I'm one of the SUNY Buffalo poetics folks! And would love to talk to the other two....
