That's what I was afraid of. They should be more compassionate and leave the whole "send us your final blah blah" off the thing. Oh well, back to working on my back up plans! P.S. Did you e-mail the department to ask, or just have your friend open the letter? I'm thinking about just trying to get it over with.

New information from me. I logged into Agora today and under status it still lists all the documents but at the bottom says "decision letter has been mailed". Given the recent news on this board I am very, very nervous. One interesting thing, though, is that it also says (above all of the recieved documents) under Required Documents "Final Bachelors Transcript". It may have said that the whole time, but I never noticed it before. Does anyone else's say that? Also, Keller65, did yours say that? I can't imagine why they would want my final transcript if they were rejecting me, but as I said, it may have always said that or it may say that when they mail letters regardless of result. Any insight anyone!?

I got an e-mail from the department around a month ago as well saying that one of my profs had submitted the cover sheet, but not the actual letter. It didn't say anything about a fellowship, just asking for the letter. So...I think your news is good news! (And maybe mine at least means they considered admitting me enough to want the letter?...not that it means anything. I called the department last week and they still hadn't dug the e-mailed letter out of the inbox until I asked them to do it while I was on the phone. Obviously not too interested in me, although it would have been nice if they would have said "look, we haven't gotten to the letter but it doesn't matter because you didn't make it." That's what I think would have been accurate, as I called a week before then and they couldn't find it in the inbox, then last week they found it almost immediately after I asked. I almost think they just "said" they found it. Who knows what to make of it all.)

Are you serious!? That's terrible! I looked at the results from last year and it seems that BC sends out its rejections first... maybe we should all hope for no news for a while. Although I didn't see any admits from the results page... so what's up with that? Who knows! This is exhausting!

I checked my online status as well and it still lists the documents received. Does yours simply say a letter has been sent, wihtout listing the documents anymore? Please let us know what your letter says! Hopefully you will be one of the lucky first admits! Oh, and what's your subfied!?

Yeah, initially I took "final grades and/or degree" to possibly mean "final grades as of fall 09." It's always read "partial receieved" even when I sent my grades only through last Spring. I'm just hoping they got my fall ones too since there's no real way to tell by looking at that, apparently. I'm just paranoid I suppose!

At first I had no idea either, but then I was reading the graduate website and it said "Applicants may submit transcripts before mid-year grades are posted, although final transcripts must then follow." So, I e-mailed the graduate school and they said that fall grades must follow spring (09) grades. I then e-mailed the department to double check and to speak my concern about the fact that fall grades aren't posted until mid-December and the app deadline is Jan. 1. The department informed me that it would be okay if the latest transcripts were a bit late. However, my status still says "partial." I just called the graduate school and they informed me that it will always say "partial" until I'm completely done with school and submit degree grades, and that the department can process my file without all of my grades (not sure if that meant without fall grades or without total grades). I still wonder if they have my transcripts though... If it makes you feel any better, I contacted all of the other schools I'm applying to after I realized this and none of them wanted grades at mid=year. So that's good, I guess.

On the appliction status page under transcripts it says "partial recieved" for the school I am currently attending (it says "full recieved" for those I took classes from in high school). I was told UNC needs transcripts through the fall of 2009, so they should have those by now as my University sent them 2 days after grades were posted. I e-mailed the department about this but haven't recieved a response. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it always going to say "partial recieved" until the actual FINAL/DEGREE transcript is sent? I just hope my file hasn't been thrown out because I didn't "complete" it. Thanks for any help!
