  1. Hey ginger1, the finalists to the Reynolds scholarships have already been contacted. They sent the email on March 9th as they promised. I was lucky enough to be selected among them. They said that 30 finalistes were selected for the 10 spots, the final panel is on april 7th.
  2. does anyone know the date of GPPI open house? I haven't seen it in the emails I received from them
  3. $15,000 for me to. Email received 3/9 at 5.20
  4. I received the admission email to the MPA DP (SIPA Masters of Public Administration in Development Practice) I am excited because I love their curriculum and the internal attention they are giving to this program: only 25 students, directed personally by Jeffrey Sachs, fall 2010 is the 2nd cohort, etc. However, I received no funding, I'm afraid that my International fulbright award won't be enough because international students cannot borrow in the US...
  5. I'm from South America. In my region Fulbright scholars are selected 1 year before. For this reason my fulbright scholarship for fall 2010 was confirmed in August 2009
  6. Yes I'm a Fulbright international student. I applied for the MPA in Development Practice from SIPA. I'd love to go there but there are only a few seats available in that program. It is my first choice. Are you an international student as well? Did you apply to the MIA?
  7. I read about the Nwe yoir city open houses. NYU Wagner is on april 12 and Columbia SIPA is on april 13.
  8. I went to a session there and my impression was that the program was heavily oriented for working professionals. There were a few students that weren't working, but they were doing internships many hours a week out of school. I have also had long conversations with current students. MPP and MPA seem to be very similar at GWU, so I don't think there is a difference in their schedule. If you are looking for an intense, academically oriented program, GW is not the answer. But if you are interested in working in DC, developing your network here and having a diploma from well ranked school, GW may work for you.
