Hey, just a question. Do you think it means anything if a school contacts you about a missing transcript? I mean, if there are 500 applicaitons, and 492 of them will be rejected, would they routinely start going through a list of 500 apps to determine what's missing? That seems like a waste of time. Or might they only go through those that have made some sort of cut? Ultimately, it doesn't matter: I"m either in or not- but it gives a little hope in the waiting period! What do you guys think?

Hi Everybody! I've enjoyed reading all your entries- glad to know I"m not alone in this peculiar angst of waiting to hear back! It's interesting to see where people applied, and that the two-yes TWO- schools where I applied are not listed often. I can't move now, so I applied to UC Irvine (dream!) and UC Riverside (longer commute, but still dream.) I honestly don't know if I"m a competitive applicant, but figured I'd give it a shot. Out of school for 15 years, lots of travel and life experience, some minor publications, and tons of people telling me I should be a writer. My apps were OK, not super polished, but I hope they showed that innate talent that CAN'T be taught, and that I"m super teachable to learn what CAN be taught, enough so that they'll think I"m a good investment.
