i emailed and got my rejection (though im not intnl). he said they are slow on getting the rejections out bc theyre understaffed in the office.

if you don't mind me asking, when did you receive your UMich acceptance (to anthro im assuming) ?

any details on this Chicago acceptance?

ha i totally understand what you mean. i feel like i see people posting for all the schools i applied to but for NONE of the anthro programs! torture

berkeley.. sigh... apparently they are in the decision making process and should be sending out news "this week or next"... and some people have heard informal responses from POIs... according to the grad coordinator look for emails... sometime soon..ish

UGH now im anxious. lol well i was anxious before too i guess. this process sucks.

ugh ya itd be nice to have a bit of a time frame for berkeley (that is the school you're talking about... right?) ... because they've got to be somewhat close... or at least, they've definitely started the process based on what the grad coordinator said. soooo... gah just hurry up!

sorry - should have specified that was cultural... but in our email it said that interviews were via skype... maybe yours are too and they just forgot that little tidbit?

i think you should call. a wise person told me to not let grad cafe ever convince you are in or out... so the best thing to do is go to the source. you can always send an email... the grad coordinator responds pretty promptly. good luck!

ya i doubt he is too... all this waiting for theslowestprogramsEVER is starting to get to me apparently Duke people should get an email today or tomorrow according to the grad coordinator there (not sure if that's just for the lucky ones that get interviews or not though) here's what i've got in terms of berkeley, from the grad coordinator: the lists are not final. some people may have heard informally from profs, but others (also accepted) have not. and they still haven't figured out all the finalists. when they do either the grad coordinator or head advisor will be sending out emails hope this helps!

i'm also curious bc this person says their program date is S10 (not an option @ berkeley) and this is also the person who said they got a phone call from their potential advisor, but then someone else in this thread said the grad coordinator axed that possibility... so... curious indeed... (i'm getting a little hopped up on conspiracy theories)

soo for those of us berkeley apps who have not received a phone call... i'm thinking this is not a good thing? also does anyone else feel like the anthro programs are particulaaaarly slow compared to all the others?
