  1. Thanks for all your answers - I will definitely go for early rotation then. Thanks all!
  2. Hi all. I'll be starting graduate school in Neuroscience next fall and will have a year to perform 3 lab rotations. I am fairly sure of the PI I want to work with, and am curious if any of you believe if it is strategically wiser to rotate in their lab earlier in the year versus later. Part of me wants to rotate with them right away to see if its a good fit. But the other part worries that if I rotate early on, and then some other student rotates after me, that they might be more likely to be selected to join the lab, if funding permits only one person. Has anyone had this experience or ha
  3. Also, in the past few years, it looks like they contact prospective students in early Feb :http://thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=UC+irvine&t=a&o=p&p=17 So maybe they are just running a lil' late?
  4. I'm pretty sure they have not sent emails out yet. I interviewed a couple weeks ago for the neuroscience department and met with george sperling who has a joint appointment with neuro and cogs. He is arranging that I receive an invite through cogsci, so I am fairly certain (hoping) that they haven't gone out yet. I can't find anything in the results forum. The weird thing is, he said the weekend was February 26th- 27th, but if that is the case, they are cutting it a bit close with invites...
