I know we often see questions here about rescinding an acceptance. I was wondering if anyone had any experience or input about initially declining an offer, and then changing one's mind (in this case, within 24 hours of sending the email declining the offer). I understand, of course, that my spot may no longer be available and may have been offered to someone on the waitlist. Thanks

Hi friends-- Have any PhD applicants heard any news from UChicago and/or can offer some idea of what their process looks like? The results page seemed to suggest sometimes an an interview, sometimes not. Also, I think there were some PhD threads earlier but they seemed to have died. I thought I'd resurrect one just in case anyone had anything else they wanted to bring up. Thanks!
