From what I have read from posts on this forum U of T does not change the status for a rejection or a waitlist. As for Laurier their email stated "electronic offers of admission will be sent out early april using the email address provided in your application", so I would make a guess that they email out all answers, including waitlists and rejections..? Having said that, let's expect good news!!!

What do you folks think will happen if you're a current uoft student? It only shows my current registration it doesn't show that I've applied to msw. I may have to wait for the letter :'(

Btw do you think it would be beneficial to send an updated resume ? We did include our hours up until the start of the program but I'm just wondering if there's something we could be doing to help out our case. Getting ranked sounds like a scary experience haha

I never got a response from her conforming so about a week after I emailed her. I just wanted to make sure my email didn't get lost in a mass of emails. She just responded with yes its been received so i assume she was just very busy at that time. I don't know if you noticed in the email though it said that she would be emailing us to tell us what was "flagged" in our application by the committee. Still nothing. And in terms of how likely it is to get off the waitlist im really not sure, I was also wondering what the chances are that we would get a good funding package from off the waitlist...? just more waiting waiting and waiting the worst part is having just graduated and being so uncertain about what september will hold, school or do i have to look for work, will i be moving...its all up in the air.

Its great to hear that you were able to go to the UK and work! It's something ive thought about doing down the road. And I don't know what the job hunting experience has been like for other people but for me I found it extremely difficult to find paid work in the field. I love volunteering and that worked for me during school but i'm in need of paid work now (as we all are). It's been a frustrating process, most positions require an MSW it seems. Not sure if you mentioned this before or not but which schools have you applied to? Good luck !

Oh dear more waiting how did you find that out about carleton? Do you know how many they accept? I definitely feel grateful but it's also frustrating!

That is what im thinking too, next week seems more plausible.But who knows! Any clues as to when laurier will be sending responses, havent read anyone post about them. (I know with UofT someone was told by Angela that they will begin "mid-march")

Beginning to dislike the weekend- Monday morning, back to the waiting game!

That's exactly my problem too!!! You don't know whether to apply for partime or full time (don't wanna make a commitment and then have to back out ). And also location, I don't know whether I will be in the gta or whether I meed to look elsewhere, potential housing may need to be found....so many things. And not to mention the more time that goes by the more I get convinced that I'm not getting in. March is going by SO slowly

I didn't speak directly to uoft regarding references but I asked carleton direct and York and the answer that I got was to pick individual who, above anything else, have the most positive things to sy about you. Only one of my references has those high credentials and my other two do not, I picked them because k worked extensively with them in social work settings and knew they would give me more than a generic letter. Up until this point I thought my references were very strong, but if what you say is true I am now very very worried...... Can't stand waiting anymore so many other people in other programs are already hearing back and making all these grand plans for after graduation and I feel like I'm at a standstill.. anyone else feeling lost?

Hey everyone, For those that applied to Windsor 2 year I have a question for you. When I try to login to check if there's any changes it gives me a message in red stating the application is unavailable. Is anyone else getting this and if so any idea what it means???

That's a waitlist!!! don't lose hope for now this just means a bit of a longer wait.
