I wouldn't retake it. Just be sure to include a writing sample as some schools use the AWA as the sole writing sample. The majority of schools in anthro focus on V and Q scores anyway.

That's good to know @trogdorburninator!! Maybe it's good news we haven't heard anything then! My app status hasn't changed from pending, so I'm wondering if their review committees have even started for bio, especially only just finishing with the GRFP. Are you in bio too?

Hey! I thought I would start a thread since it has been awhile since the existing ones have been updated. I applied to the January deadline for the bio anthropology DDRIG. Has anyone heard anything yet? I know in previous years, we would have heard something by now, but the government shutdown might delay things.

I unfortunately did not get it. I did receive my feedback comments though....it seemed one reviewer absolutely loved it, but the other one did not, which is frustrating. Can't win over everybody I guess.

First time applicant here too!! I am happy everything is in, but the waiting game will be a struggle.

I talked with current students and they said 3 core classes at once is the best. I am taking 2 core, 2 colloquiums (they are participation based), and TAing, which is 14 credits (you need 12 to be full time). They told me that my schedule would be challenging but doable.

For those not with SHORE, are you waiting it out or looking for an off-campus apartment?

Have you guys enrolled in courses yet? I am not sure if we need a certain number of credits or courses to be full-time. Is it 12 you think? Also, I haven't heard anything about graduate housing, do you think it is impossible to get it before September?

Hey guys!! I accepted my offer at UCSD last week!!! I am so excited!!!
I am kinda worried about housing. I applied for graduate housing, but in the huge chance that I do not get it before the start of the term, are you guys looking at housing elsewhere? -
I am still waiting on a few schools, but it looks like UCSD with full funding for me!

Yours might be the one posted today, so maybe you have found out. I am not sure if they are finished or not. I was unofficially notified by my POI back in late January, but I didn't get the official letter for another week or two. The department seemed to have a bit of disconnect, so I wouldn't be surprised if different subfields were ahead or behind the others. I would like to hear what other people's funding offers were from there if you (or anyone else) wouldn't mind sharing either here or by PM
Still haven't heard back from them, but I am still hoping! Which subfield are you?

Anyone know if University of Iowa has finished sending out decisions? I saw a couple admits on the results awhile back, but I just wanted to see if there will be more.

Dillwithit, do you know if their decisions will be continuing to be released over the course of the next week or so? What did their email say, if you don't mind me asking?
So the email was your typical acceptance email, no info on other applications.
"Congratulations! I know they reviewed applications on 2/2 and decided who to admit then. I am not sure if they are still sending out emails. My status online has changed if that helps. My POI gave me a skype interview to tell me informally about my admittance and funding last week.

I checked my Michigan online account, it says 'A decision has been made. Your program will inform you of the decision' but I haven't received anything yet.
