  1. I got a phone call from a faculty member this past weekend. Still no hard copy documents or email...
  2. Yea.... ignore that. Sorry. I saw a string of new responses and I guess grouped my post in. Didn't look at the date, just top of the screen... fail. Was accepted to UCSD and IU. No mail or call from Harvard yet, but since I put Duke higher on my personal list, I went ahead and accepted their offer. Good luck everyone and sorry for the bad info.
  3. Saw someone else posted their acceptance to Duke. Anyone on this thread? BTW, as Duke was my "first-choice" school, I accepted their offer yesterday and am gearing up for my move to Durham!
  4. Hi Timothy, Thanks! I was just notified yesterday by email that I had been moved up from the wait list. Still waiting to hear back from some other places, but as I have a preference towards Duke, I will probably accept. Hopefully we will all know the rest of the results soon enough. Good luck to you and everyone! Bryan
  5. For what its worth, I had a friend who was accepted last year in comp. and he received his acceptance via snail mail. But then again, that was last year....
  6. Well good luck to everyone waiting for mail from Harvard! Musico, do you know if the mailing they mentioned was for musicology, composition, or everyone? Also, did you speak to GSAS or the dept. of music?
  7. Does anyone know when the Ph.D. composition results were mailed out from Harvard last year? Or, for the sake of other people on the forum, for musicology or theory? Thanks!
  8. Thanks, Jose! Sure, you can check out a few of my recent works on my website at http://www.bryanchristian.net. I submitted Aquae fontes, Ego dormio, et cor meum vigilat, and Vespers, all of which I wrote last year while in Estonia. A bit about me: I did my undergraduate degree in composition at Indiana University and this year I will complete my second MA in composition at UC San Diego. Last year I was on a Fulbright grant to Estonia, where I earned my first MA. Soon enough, I’ll see what’s next! Forgive me if I overlooked it (this thread is long), but where did you apply? Good luck! Bryan
  9. Hello, I am new to the thread. I received a form email directing me to the website where it informed me of my wait list status. I'm hopeful, and now just have to wait it out. Otherwise, I applied to Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Harvard, and UC San Diego. Good luck to everyone! Bryan
