Does anyone here know any person who got an admit for Masters in EE?
-
Is this mentioned on their website? If it is a fact then they should put it out there so that people with a GPA below 3.7 don't waste their time applying there. Just saying. My GPA is 8.8/10. I don't know how they evaluate GPA's that are on a scale of 10.
-
@ARJS That's not the baseline but rather the average GPA of admitted students in EE. It simply means that some admitted students have a GPA less than this average and some are above it.

@Fa91. Could you kindly provide your profile? GRE/TOEFL, work exp, etc Thank you

Does anyone have any idea about how KAUST treats GPA's that are on a scale of 10 instead of 4? Do they use some conversion formula or simply consider the applications on a case-by-case basis? My CGPA is 8.8/10

Which program? When did you have your interviews?
-
Who all here are applying to MS in EE??
-
Congratulations, rudychin
-
Yeah, that is another trouble about delayed responses. One isn't left with many choices. The uncertainty is too much.
-
Fellows, where else are you all applying or have applied? Edulix doesn't have any members who are considering/have considered KAUST, etc.
-
Electrical Engineering.

I don't care if they select or reject me; I just want them to inform me about their decision as soon as possible. I am really terrible at this waiting business.
-
@[Fa91] Which program are you applying in?
-
Their process seems sort of random. I don't see a general pattern here. Anyways, the wait is killing.

I've applied to the MS in Electrical Power Engineering program at RWTH Aachen and the SENSE & RENE programs through the KIC InnoEnergy initiative (my uni preference has been KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm). If I'm granted an admit at both which one should I choose given that my intended career path is research oriented. I know I'm speaking in advance but it could serve as a future reference as well. Thank you for your time. Best regards.

It seems that only PhD applicants have received some sort of communication from the Uni, be it e-mails or interviews. Any MS applicant here who was contacted by the Uni? Or any other update?

Some PhD applicants have had their interviews and some have theirs scheduled. Refer: http://thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=kaust

I graduated in July 2014. NIT Srinagar.
-
Which university/college did you complete your graduation from? I'm also from Kashmir.
-
No. It is just another stage of the admission process. One may get rejected after appearing for the interview.

I submitted my application for MS in EE on 26th of Jan, 2014. The candidate page shows the application status as 'Submitted'.
