  1. This question is for those who have already had an interview this year or previous years: I was invited for an interview at at a school about 250 miles from my house. It is my top choice so I want to do everything possible to make a good impression. I have several options on getting to the interview. The interview is a group one. My first option is to fly there and back in the same day. The second is to drive there, leaving in the early morning and stay the night of the interview and drive back the next day. The third is to fly up and stay the night of the interview and fly home the next day. Unfortunately, because of work, I have to go up the day of the interview. Ideally, because of time and money, I would prefer the first option but am hesitant as the interview is from 2-6p and I would have to leave the interview to go to the airport no later than 6:30p. In others experiences, does anything happen immediately after the group interview, ie dinner or other social activities or is the time the invite says it will be over when it ends? If there is an after-interview activity and I miss it, would that hurt my chances? Thank you for any/all replies. I'm probably over thinking this but was so excited to be asked to interview that I literary cried happy tears when I received the email.
