@ MilosB, thank you very much for this update. As we expected, no e-mail on Wednesday 11th of March (like ribeiro) equals no ESOP. That's it with my 10% hope. Very nice to have met you all!

@nonkreon, I personally still hope 10% for the ESOP , until I receive some official e-mail (it's about time they said something!) I see we all hate this situations of no reply at all. The reason I hope 10% and not 0.1% is because we were ~10 people with interview and only one received a reply (it was actually a positive one). Even if I'm rejected and I get no answer, I would have expected at least another guy or two to get the scholarship.

Sorry, I forgot to mention. This was last Friday, March 13th, so it will take "at least" until the end of the current week (March 20th). What programme did you apply for? This question is also for MichaelM, if he doesn't mind telling.

Hey, I sent other e-mail to them and I was answered: Unfortunately we are not able to communicate the results about the ESOP/MSP until 15 March 2015. We will do it as soon as possible, but it will last until the end of the next week at least. I beg you for your patience. I do not know if this means we are not able to communicate the negative results. Maybe it is about all the results except for Computer Science department. Note that there were people receiving acceptance e-mails at the end of last week for Mechanical Engineering, so personally I won't lose hope until a bunch of results come out.

I'm tempted to write them an e-mail, maybe they're releasing the results for Physics next week and we're waiting for nothing (our official admission e-mails were also a week after his 17 and 24 February)

If you take into account the Phillipines time zone (utc+8), the girl posted at 4pm her time. I guess "last night" means ~8pm, which is 12pm utc or 1pm in Zurich. Therefore the e-mail was sent Wednesday at 1pm, which is 25 hours starting from now. But, who knows.

@mikibene, sorry to hear that ... I think that all the students applying for ETH are competitive. Good luck with the other schools, it's nice that you have other options.

Do you now know the result? I saw people posting rejects from MechEng on the results page, so I guess all the results came out

Off-topic, sorry. I completed ages ago an online course on quantum computation and I saw how it works in cryptography, specifically how one can factorize large numbers exponentially faster than clasically. Very cool! Good luck. Probably there are other much cooler things in cryptography, but this is actually all I know on this matter. I hope you get the ESOP. Also, I am keeping my fingers crossed for anybody who has worked their way up to these standards.

I'm going to study theoretical condensed matter; my pre-proposal was on topological superconductors so I guess I will study this field further if I go to ETH (i.e. only if I get the scholarship). It is rather close to quantum computation, as the main application of topological phases would be in quantum computation. I was interviewed by Manfred Sigrist, who is leading a research group exactly in this field (of my pre-proposal). I am already checking this thread each hour (at least ). Nice to meet you all and good luck! Later edit: I have a feeling that they do not inform people about rejections. If I don't get a response regarding the ESOP until Thursday, I will address this question to the scholarships office.

Funny, kcmw_2014's posts are our only source of information . Yes, 5h of March. However, her interview was a week earlier than mine and she received the official e-mail of acceptance a week after mine - this could imply that I will receive an answer regarding the scholarship 2 weeks later than her, i.e. 19th of March. This would be too long and unfortunately I cannot concentrate on writing my thesis. Below you have my 'milestones'. Is your source of information trustworthy? It would be nice to know how much we still have to wait! I've been checking my e-mail 100 times a day since the interview . I know it's useless but still, I can't help it. Good luck!

@mikibene, the professor who inteviewed me (I applied for Physics MSc) was not part of the admission comitee, so he didn't know exact dates. However, he estimated that all the decisions will be made in 1-2 weeks (starting from today) I am anxious because of the lack of information (regarding their internal deadlines) Maybe for Mech Eng they have different deadlines, idk

I had the interview for the ESOP on February 11th. I'm not sure, but I think my interviewer mentioned that the last day for ESOP interviews is next Sunday. I applied for Physics Master, first choice.
