  1. Sorry, but I follow the TX Lege & this idea is just terrible: http://www.texastribune.org/2015/03/18/campus-carry-debate-hits-senate-floor/
  2. i'll be at visit day on the 6th. native austinite though haven't lived there for 5+ yrs. hope to get an awesome sales pitch that will justify staying in this sorry state.
  3. yeah, no funding for me either.
  4. Well, okay! Maybe all hope is not lost. Thank you!
  5. Was your offer in the email & not on the page? That's all I'm trying to sort out at this point. Also, CONGRATS!
  6. Yeah, well, have a good night at SXSW. I'm an Austin native, & just left this morning after a week visiting my folks. Its about to be crazy there for the next 2 wks, so stay safe!
  7. CONGRATS! What did your status say about funding? Have you rec'd an email yet?
  8. Yeah, me neither. So I am guessing no funding, which is okay since I am in-state. Still pretty affordable w/out any $$.
  9. 5 for 5! Now I have to decide.....

  10. You're in NY so I guess your status doesn't say anything about a Hazelwood Tuition Exemption, correct?
  11. no funding? I can't tell; if you got money does it say it somewhere in particular? I was referred to a veterans scholarship but I'm not a veteran.
  12. Yeah, for real. I don't know that I can handle that level of fake-out.
  13. Thank you for calling so we don't have to. I have been fighting myself to not call but, for the love of god, i really wanted to call.
  14. I am not optimistic about in-state funding. I would think they reserve most funding to attract out-of-staters who might be on the fence. This is seriously the last school I am waiting on and at this point I just want to know so I can move forward in the process.
  15. Did Madison give you any funding? I would love to go to UW but the tuition is too high and I got -zero- from them.
  16. Website previously said early March for decisions. Now it it says "around mid-March." http://www.utexas.edu/lbj/degreeprograms/mpaff/admissions Argh.
  17. I have heard from every other school I applied to except LBJ. For me, this is the affordable choice and a great program. I've been accepted to every program thus far and hope this will continue my winning streak. Fingers crossed I get good news soon!
  18. i feel the same way! i poked around previous threads & it looks like lbj will be notifying in the next two weeks. the recent admission boards show many ppl had heard about phd in gov't & polisci but nothing in public policy or masters .
  19. I'm a TX native looking to GET OUT OF TX That said, LBJ is a great program and I had to apply, though it is the only TX school I'm looking at (I'm also a native Austinite & my family lives there.) Hope to hear something soon as I already rec'd admission to UW-Madison & got pretty promising feedback from UC-Riverside.
