  1. Hi there, I am hoping that someone here can provide some thoughts to my current situation. Also, it would be great to know what helped you become a more competitive applicant for quant programs. So here is my current situation.... I am about to start the application process to quant programs. I am currently a grad student in the M.A. General Experimental Psychology program. My interest statistics are SEM and Growth Curve Modeling. I've taken all the advanced stats courses, I have taught the psychological stats courses, and now I am currently working in data management at the College of Education here on campus. I feel though, as I have not received much research experience, meaning I see my fellow peers working on projects with their mentors non-stop and I have not worked on a single research project with my advisor since I've started the program. I applied to a Master's Program to be able to gain more knowledge and experience, I feel that the experience is lacking. My mentor is a very busy person and it was always hard for me to even arrange meeting with her. Anyways, I really want to be able to be a solid candidate for when I start applying this summer. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced
