    Visiting UT Dallas on Monday... first visit as an accepted (but not committed) applicant. What questions should I ask?

      I would ask about the culture of the department in which you'll be working. Do students spend all day/night/crazy hours in the lab? Do students do anything outside of work (or is it a competitive, cut-throat environment)? Does your department/graduate department provide any professional development (seminars, workshops etc)?
