My POI steals my ideas, verbally intimidates me, tries to get me into trouble. How to deal with him? I don't think talking to anyone in my department will be useful.
It sounds like general email. Admissions can still happen until few days before class starts. Maybe you can email and ask for more details about the open house? For example, ask if you would need to prepare anything, would you get chance to talk to grad students/supervisors, etc?
Is the school visit part of requirements for admission? If not, then you don't need to meet with them. Don't email them again unless a school visit is required.
For grad application I had to write down 3 POIs that I would like to work for.
Then I was waitlisted for few days before getting an offer.
Would this mean I will get a different POI? After getting off the waitlist?
I was in this course that has mix of undergrad and grad students.
And some grad students asked me if I will apply to the grad program. Any reasons why they asked that?
