Don't know if you emailed already, but if not, I would definitely hold off at least 3-4 days. My country told me they would notify by the end of March, and I waited until the second week of April to send a follow up email. I think this was an appropriate amount of time to wait and didn't make me look bad, since I got the good news yesterday! Good luck with the wait - I know it's so stressful and frustrating but it will end one day when you least expect it ....

Sometimes certain grants take a while. I still haven't heard back from UK, even though everybody else heard back a week ago. So we just have to be patient .... Good luck!
-
Well, Stopthat, I'm now in the same boat you were in: That moment when they announce all the UK Grants except two. And you happened to apply to one of those too. It's actually becoming quite amusing at this point!

Have any UK applicants gotten an alternate notification? If so, can you please message me? I'm a UK applicant who hasn't heard anything as of 3/31 3:45PM. It seems that Principal and Not Selected notifications were sent out, so maybe the alternate ones got delayed? I'm just trying to find some clues and some answers desperately! Thanks!

Any UK applicants have no email yet? I haven't heard anything!

Ugh that would be so frustrating if they HAD approved decisions and didn't take the time to send them.

Hi collegedropout! The person with their interview rescheduled was me. I can confirm what RosyPosy said - they told me "by the end of the month at the latest." So hopefully very soon! Good luck!

And THAT is what this forum is for! If everybody from your country except you is posting results, something's up! CONGRATS to you and to everyone else who got accepted today! Best of luck going forward to everyone else. Honestly I think the people that we met through this process and the things we learned about ourselves are valuable no matter what.

Day dawns, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my notification letter. I shall do no homework, have no coherent conversations, submit no thesis, and know no peace. I am the constant Fulbright Forum reader. I am the neurotic email refresher. I pledge my sanity and hopes to the Fulbright for this day and all my days to come. Any Game of Thrones fans recognize the Fulbright version of the Night's Watch Oath?

Thanks so much for clarifying, Miracle18!! That makes me feel a lot better. Crossing my fingers for all of us.
-
Miracle18 - that sounds like a good sign for you, which is wonderful! But I wonder if all the universities need to go through the same application/approval process if you haven't already applied. Has anyone else gotten a similar email? My partnership scholarship university required me to apply in December for Fulbright eligibility, so I'm not expecting one. But if all the universities need to approve the Fulbright applicants separately, UK notifications could take a while ....

Congratulations to everyone accepted!!! Best of luck going to forward to alternates - that's still amazing that you made it that far!! So it looks like last year's timeline is still an okay predictor - many early countries last year were early countries this year. (This is a desperate UK applicant being... well...desperate.)

Could be, but it's interesting to note that we would have expected Ireland and Indonesia notifications by now based on last year. And it seems that we definitely have active Ireland and Indonesia applicants. Idk how the timeline changes from one year to the next - I'd imagine they'd have standardized it by now .... But then again, I did have a delayed interview!

Glad it's helpful (or is it?)! I literally just went on the us.fulbrightonline.org website and typed "principal alternate" into the SEARCH bar. That's it!

Alright guys, who wants to waste time learning about the selection process this weekend?! I found this online. http://us.fulbrightonline.org/country-review-resources You can find out who was on the NSC committee, some stuff about the FFSB, the ranking system, etc. I should work on my thesis instead of reading this, but ...

I wonder if there's a way to figure out the typical gap between last interview date and notification date, i.e. how long it takes the State Department to approve. For Belgium, Luxembourg, the gap was 14 days or less (the two people who were accepted may not have been the last interview). But for Russia and Greece, they had interviews in the first week of February and presumably still haven't heard yet. Are they still interviewing as well? Thoughts?

Hi everyone. UK applicants, sorry, but I have frustrating news. They emailed me literally this morning to reschedule my interview for Monday, March 9th. So yeah .... At this rate, I am sure I am the last one, so I guess we should start making estimates from the 10th.

Finally caved and created an account! I'm an applicant for a UK Study/Research Grant. My interview is on Monday, March 2nd. So to everyone who's already had their interview and is waiting on the results, I just wanted to let you know that interviews won't wrap up until early March. So mid-March is probably the earliest we can expect to hear back ....
