I'm really sorry to hear about your bad news, Bikefarm. I haven't had a whole lot of interaction with different folks at Columbia, but the attitudes I've seen to-date make me wonder about program in general!

Hi...I am also still waiting and have been wondering if the rejections that were posted awhile back are real. I emailed the program coordinator (who seems really mean, by the way!) yesterday to try to get some information and she referred me to GSAS admissions. The GSAS admissions person said that all PhD decisions *should* be disseminated by the middle of March. Kind of a vague response. My sub-field is sociology, too!

Hi all--I received an email of acceptance for the SD in SHDH this afternoon. I am also really eager to hear from Hopkins and the SMS program at Columbia. I got really impatient about 2 weeks ago and emailed the coordinators at both programs...they both said they should be sending out notifications in "a couple weeks." Not so helpful!

Thanks...I feel fortunate to have heard early. I got an old-timey letter in the mail informing me of the acceptance. I don't have a masters degree so I was accepted into the MSPH-to-PhD program. It's possible that's a factor in my early notice. Waiting for the rest though is torture!

Hi...I've also applied to the Harvard SD in SHDH and the Columbia SMS program, as well as the Bloomberg SPH PhD in Health, Behavior, & Society. I found out last week that I've been accepted to UNC HBHE, but I don't know about funding yet.
