  1. If the latter, that is scary. lol
  2. Sorry to hear of your BU rejections guys. It's been a sad year for applications. I don't even know what to say. I got in touch with my POI to inform him of my being wait-listed. He was empathetic, noting that they had over 150 applications this year and only had a slot for 5 students. I think that number is cruel to be honest. It's just a sad year to be applying. I'm honestly tired.
  3. Waitlisted at BU school of theology. Disappointed. Not sure how hopeful I am of getting off the waitlist. Tired.
  4. Hoping for the best for you!
  5. Three faculty members. How many were present at yours? Also, do you have any idea how many students they take in total? My POI had mentioned it was very competitive. 'A few weeks' also seems far! I was hoping, considering past years, that they might get back to us this Friday. Well!
  6. Hey! I wish you the best! Seems like a good interview to me! I mean, a laugh has to be good thing, right! lol I also interviewed at BU last week - theology, ethics, and philosophy track. What track did you apply for, if you don't mind sharing? Plus, did they mention when we might hear back from them?
  7. Hi guys! I hope and trust it will go well for us all this cycle! For me, I think I can safely give up on ND now - sadly. Doesn't seem like any interview requests would be coming in. I hope I'm wrong though! In other news, though, I did interview at Boston University School of Theology yesterday. I thought the interview went well but then, you never know! Just a question too, if anyone wants to chime in, I'm already wondering which to choose between Baylor (I've already had a first round of interview there) and Boston Uni School of Theology (*IF* I'm admitted at both places). Any thoughts on both schools? My field is Theological Ethics and both schools have fine faculty in the field that I won't mind working with. My concern is about the job market after graduation and how well regarded both schools are. I know I'm getting ahead of myself! lol. But well!
  8. Did you interview at Boston University last year? If yes, how was it?
  9. Yeah, I agree with you. The only certain thing this year might be an email directly from the school. I did apply to their Peace Studies/Theology program and was notified of their decision (rejection) last week. Waiting to know the status of my application to their theology department.
  10. Someone posted a couple of days back that ND had sent out interview invites. Has anyone here actually heard back from them though? I did apply there and perhaps I might as well take my mind off them?
  11. Waiting to hear back from ND. Any news from ND guys?
  12. No, I didn't reach out to them. To be honest, I think it was a generic email, sent to all applicants. The program is administered differently from their PhD program in theology (which I also applied to but haven't heard back from). This peace studies/theology program is administered by their Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. Did you apply to ND too?
  13. Not at all. It's Notre Dame - their joint program in theology and peace studies.
  14. Let's stay hopeful guys! I did hear back from one of my schools inviting me to an interview weekend next month. I have also received an email from another saying they were still in the process of shortlisting applicants for interviews and that we can expect to hear back next week. There's nothing more to do than to try and stay hopeful! lol
  15. I can totally relate with you! Been checking my email over and over! Btw, what school was that you heard back from? Could well be a good sign!
  16. Also waiting it out. Applied to Baylor, Boston School of Theology, Notre Dame ( 2 programs) . I've heard back from Baylor with a preliminary interview. Still waiting for the others. Has anyone heard back from any of the above schools?
  17. Please does anyone know if funding offers (Clarendon in particular) are made alongside the initial admission offers. I just go got an offer into one of the MSc programmes in the Social Science division but nothing was mentioned about funding. Any help would be sorely appreciated!
  18. Yes! I applied to the Msc in Education (HE) and I had my interview some two weeks ago now. I'd suggest you get in touch with the higher degrees office of the department (you could send them an email) to find out why you haven't yet been interviewed. From their website, it appears interviews are done for all applicants as it is part of their selection criteria. I'm however still eargerly awaiting their decision!
  19. @barcastuff and the worst too, you might add.
