I applied for a few different ones but so far have only heard back from one (an email asking to set up a phone interview). I'm guessing when you are notified depends on each position and how quickly the particular supervisor works through the applications. I hope you all start hearing things soon!!
Denied though last month I was accepted to the advanced standing program at WUSTL in addition to a $25,000 scholarship, so I'm not too distraught. I guess I'm just a little surprised they didn't even want to put me on the waitlist. Does anyone know what the acceptance rate for UW is? P.S. congrats to all who are hearing good news!
I was recently accepted to the Brown School at WashU and I'm applying for a research fellowship. This includes providing a cover letter. Does anyone know to whom I should address it? The faculty sponsor of each research position is listed on the respective job posting (e.g., here) so my gut says to use that person's name...but I also know sometimes grad schools prefer you to address your cover letter to one general person who's taking all the applications. The deadline is today and it's totally my fault for not figuring this out sooner, but I thought I would come here on the chance that anyone has more concrete insight. Thanks!!
