Hey everybody! So I got into both UBC and IHEID (Graduate instutute in Geneva) for an MA in economics. I know UBC is better ranked, but do you think the international reputation of IHEID in international relations and its connexions with international organisations would be a better career booster? Thanks for your advice!

Yes that's a very good idea jenste! It's true that, overall, McGill is more recognized than UBC in Europe. But don't you think that employers in the field of economics and finance will know that UBC economic department is better?

Hey everybody! I am from Switzerland and plan to attend either McGill or UBC as an economic graduate student. I know that the economic department at UBC is better ranked than the one in McGill. However, McGill's general ranking is better. Knowing that I plan to go back to Europe after I get my MA, I was wondering if my chances on the labour market will be better with a McGill or UBC degree in economics. Thanks to anybody who can give me advice!!!
