Congrats!! That's amazing! Still no update on my end but so good to hear that people are still getting in. Hoping for one more round of acceptances before the "middle of the month" deadline which I'm going to pin as the 15th because why not.

I'm at U of T right now. Just finished Year 1. I can tell you a bit about the program. It's huge - about 120 students in year one, even more in year two. Which I've experienced as a draw back. I still see people Ive never met. Laurier is smaller (about 80 students). Toronto does have great opportunities for placement and work with diverse clients, but the matching process is flawed and theres no guarantee you will get the placement you want (ie if you really want sick kids or camh, for instance). U of T is also not very progressive or social justice oriented, the social justice stream in second year is dwindling, so if thats what youre looking for in grad school...look elsewhere. It's mostly focused on clinical work. My interest is children and families and clinical work, so its been a pretty good match for me. But I also wish it was smaller and there was more critical thought and focus on social justice.
If you have any direct questions let me know.

Rosi is down for maintenance so that doesnt mean anything....
No decision yet for York U probably means you got rejected. I also have no decision yet on my file and I called and they said they are still looking over files so if it says no decision yet it means that they just havent made a decision yet on your file. Having said that, I got confirmation that they already sent out all acceptances .....

Seconded! My friend, who is currently in the program, said that the admin person at York has been away sick, but is back in the office today, so chances are good that if people are going to get a reply at all, it will come in the next few days.

I know some people have received emails that they have gotten in or been waitlisted, so it would be awesome to know where that leaves the rest of us. I know last year, people received acceptances and wait list statuses at the very end of March, and then I had emailed York a few days later asking about the status of admissions, never got a response of any kind, and then my myfile changed to "Decision made- unsuccessful" almost a month later. So if anyone has heard anything, that would be great.

I haven't gotten in touch with them this year, but if I haven't heard anything by the first week of April I figure I will send off an email.

I am reallyyyy struggling with my plan B at the moment. I am currently living abroad but my work visa expires in June so no matter what happens, I can't continue with what I am doing and I have to pack up and move within 2.5 months of hearing back from the schools. I have no idea what I want to do. I think my weakness in my application is definitely my grades. I have been lucky to have a year's full time paid experience in front line child protection in a social work role, 2 summers of paid experience at CAS and plenty of direct volunteer experience in a few different agencies. I also had 2 relevant practicums in my undergrad. So I think if I dont get in, it will be down to grades and the fact that I have no research experience. Those are 2 things I dont really know how to improve to be honest .

What I really would like to do for the next year is move to Thailand or South korea to teach English as I have a few friends doing it right now and they highly recommend the experience. But I dont think that will add anything to an MSW application. So really I need to decide if I want to focus on my own personal goals of travel and seeing the world, or my career goals, which would mean moving back to Ontario and working while trying to figure out how to improve my grades. I've been really losing sleep over this decision I really hope to hear back ASAP so I can really weigh out my options and make a choice.

    hey guys,

I couldn't hold back my excitement this morning when I found this thread still going on and involving lots of people sharing common situations - maybe more fellows joining in, and more in-time information flow. Oddly I didn't feel attached to the status thing believing the decision would only came out in mid-April until I found this one It seems I have fallen behind a lot, at least the Friday Call up! Congratulations to those who have received   letters! I immediately checked both my mailbox and SGS status which is "under review" always. Hope we all will soon get a reply and thanks to the huge encouragements above hopefully more acceptances will arrive )

It looks like social work is quite a local field as many people have said since most applicants posting here are locals. As an international applicant, I feel great to discover your life experiences and formal language assets here - learned a lot and will keep on that ))
